**Day in the Life**

As a service specialist, you’ll be the face of Grill Hero at commercial job sites—performing high-quality grilling & appliance cleanings/servicing and delivering exceptional customer service. But you're more than just a technician: you're a trusted advisor. You’ll use your product knowledge and people skills to confidently recommend services, parts, and upgrades that improve the customer’s grilling experience. **What We Expect**:
**Core Responsibilities**
- Perform full cleaning and maintenance of commercial kitchen hood & exhaust systems in compliance with NFPA 96 standards.
- Clean, service, and repair commercial ovens, grills, fryers, and other cooking appliances to ensure peak efficiency and safety.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or fire hazards in exhaust systems and appliances.
- Document all service work performed and provide detailed reports for clients.Safely handle and dispose of grease, cleaning agents, and debris.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment (pressure washers, wet vacuums, chemical applicators, etc.).
- Follow company safety policies and comply with all federal, provincial/state, and local regulations.
- Communicate professionally with customers, addressing service needs and recommending additional work where required.

**Sales & Customer Growth**:

- Proactively educate customers on the value of service plans, rebookings, and additional services.
- Build rapport and trust to support the closing of on-site commercial sales.
- Represent the Grill Hero brand with professionalism, courtesy, and integrity.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience in commercial kitchen exhaust cleaning, appliance maintenance, or HVAC systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

**Required Certifications & Training**
- Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Certification (recognized by IKECA - International Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning Association, or equivalent local governing body).
- Food Handler Certificate
- Gas Technician License (G2/G3 in Ontario - required for gas appliances).
- Fire Safety Training - Understanding of NFPA 96 standards and fire hazard mitigation.
- First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

**Job Type**
- Contract

**Compensation**:

- Starting pay range of $30-$60/ hour (Hourly pay increases are commensurate with industry-standard certifications)
- Mileage incurred during operations is compensated on top of hourly pay

Pay: $30.00-$60.00 per hour
