**The Position**:
The Saskatoon & Region Home Builders’ Association is seeking a **Manager of Major Projects** to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this full-time, salaried position (37.5 hours/week) plays a vital role in the successful delivery of the Association’s flagship projects and initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable management experience in project coordination, sales, marketing, and stakeholder collaboration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
The Manager of Major Projects will oversee planning, execution, and evaluation of the SRHBA’s major projects, including but not limited to:
- **HomeStyles Home & Renovation Show**
- **Housing Excellence Awards**
- **Parade of Homes**
- **Networking Series**
- **Builders Classic Golf Tournament**
- **Annual Conference**
**Specific responsibilities include**:
- Leading project teams through planning, implementation, and follow-up phases.
- Evaluating current practices and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Developing project budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring alignment with financial goals.
- Drafting comprehensive closing reports with recommendations for future enhancements.
- Overseeing sponsorship sales, including elite sponsorship packages, and ensuring targets are met.
- Managing marketing and communications efforts, including social media and promotional campaigns, in collaboration with the Marketing Manager.
- Driving member engagement and enhancing the overall public and member experience at events.
**General Duties**
- Maintain familiarity with industry news, policies, and events to inform projects, communications, and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members and external stakeholders.
- Attend and support Association meetings, events, and partner organization initiatives.
- Ensure that all files, records, and resources are well-organized and accessible.
- Provide exceptional client-focused service in all interactions.
**Qualifications and Skills**
- A degree or certification in event planning, business, sales or a related field. A combination of education and experience will also be considered. CMP or CSEP designations preferred.
- Strong experience in event planning, project management, and sponsorship sales.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets and report on financial outcomes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities, with experience meeting tight deadlines.
- A team-oriented mindset with strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams.
- A client-focused approach with experience in member service environments.
- Familiarity with the residential construction industry or related sectors is an asset.
