Host/hostess

We are currently seeking a friendly and professional host/hostess to join our team at Milestones Tsawwassen. As the first point of contact for our guests, the host/hostess plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Greeting guests upon arrival and seating them in a timely and courteous manner
- Managing the waitlist and ensuring accurate wait times are provided to guests
- Assisting with reservations and coordinating seating arrangements
- Providing menu recommendations and answering questions about the restaurant and its offerings
- Ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station and surrounding areas
- Assisting with takeout orders and ensuring accuracy of order details
- Managing payments and handling cash transactions
- A friendly and welcoming personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- A professional and polished appearance
- A basic understanding of restaurant operations and terminology
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Tsawwassen, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
