Youth Worker

netWORKS is a coordinated approach to career-oriented networking and mentoring opportunities for youth aged 18 and 29 who are out of work, out of school, or who are currently underemployed. Mentees receive training, participate in group networking sessions and have the chance to connect with employers for individual networking or mentoring opportunities. netWORKS also works with employers to engage mentors who can offer career advice to youth who need it.

The netWORKS Front Line Staff will provide outreach, screening, program facilitation, data collection and administrative duties to ensure the effective delivery and evaluation of the Program's services which includes assessment, intake, workshop delivery, social media support and mentoring support. The Front-Line Staff will also provide job coaching to participants to support their employment goals, on-going information and referrals to employment, community, personal, school and training supports and resources, through regular check -ins with each youth. They will provide information and practical supports for their employment goals
- Oversee the delivery of the netWORKS Program, ensuring that intake and screening targets are met on a weekly basis and that a high quality of service is provided to all youth participants.
- Promote netWORKS and the importance of networking and mentorship to youth.
- Screen and recruit over 160 youth to participate in the various components of the netWORKS program including at least one networking
- Orient youth to the netWORKS program.
- Develop and deliver outreach-oriented presentations to potential community partners on netWORKS.
- Accompany youth to Introductory Networking Session at employer sites and provide support as
- Ensure youth participation in the Introductory Networking Events offered by United Way (UWGT).
- In addition to UWGT hosted networking events, plan and execute in collaboration with

United Way, one networking event per quarter with local mentors.
- Conduct employer and mentor outreach to support community networking events in agency neighborhood.
- Monitor and support youth in creating profiles and accessing networking through the netWORKS ' online
- Provide ongoing employment preparation, job development, employment counselling, mentoring, wraparoun d services support, and regular check-ins to participating youth. Ensure participant files are properly updated and stored
- Evaluate, track, and support mentor-mentee relationships during and upon the completion of the
- Oversee timely and accurate submission of all statistical and program information to be used in internal and external netWORKS
- Collect and input required participant data in adherence to agency privacy and confidentiality policies. Support participants in completing surveys and post
- program evaluations.
- Conduct exit interviews upon the completion of the netWORKS process and acquires feedback on service quality and long-term
- Maintain positive and clear communication with other team members to facilitate team work, successful target management and customer service
- Assist in the ongoing development and effective implementation of program related policies and procedures that ensure program guidelines are followed, efficiently utilize resources and maximize participant
- Attend and participate in monthly meetings with UWGT program staff to share program updates and feedback.

- University degree or College diploma in related discipline.
