Makerspace Assistant

What do you want to be today? Edmonton Public Library has an exciting opportunity for a fun, creative, agile customer service expert EPL's Makerspace is an interactive space with specialized hardware, equipment and software. As a Makerspace Assistant, you will support customers in the use of the technology in the Makerspace to learn, create, play, collaborate and discover.

**Job Requirements**:

- A related diploma or undergraduate degree from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of one year of related work experience.
- Experience with a wide variety of creative technologies on both MAC and PC platforms is preferred.
- Experience in photo, video or sound editing is an asset.
- Experience in a library environment where customer service is a core focus is an asset.
- Enthusiasm for gaming on multiple platforms is an asset.

**Physical Requirements**: Physical requirements of the Makerspace Assistant position include frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting.

**Note**:

- This position consists of varied schedules which include day, evening and weekend shifts.
- Satisfactory background screening is required for this position, which includes a Criminal Record Check/Police Information Check.

**Pay Band**:
$28.77- $36.73 per hour*
- Approximately $52,579 - $67,105 per annum based on a 35 hour work week.
