Medical Aesthetician

**Job Summary**

DermaKarma Laser Spa is committed to providing our clients with advanced laser and aesthetics, enhanced skin care, and anti aging treatments within a relaxing and professional environment. It is imperative that our clients’ safety, comfort and wellbeing is at the forefront of everything we do.We are in search for a knowledgeable, passionate, professional, and personable Certified Medical Aesthetician to join our team. You will be required to conduct client consultations and recommend individualized treatment plans for clients. This position is full-time and we are looking for some who is highly qualified to perform, but not limited to the following; laser hair removal, facials, peels, microneedling, IPL treatments, threading and skin tightening. We are looking for someone that is; committed, eager, enthusiastic, confident, positive, innovative, energetic, social, upbeat, knowledgeable, and flexible.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Responsibilities and Duties of a Medical Aesthetician include but are not limited to the following:

- Welcoming clients and building relationships
- Conduct skin analysis and consultations with clients regarding skin care concerns
- Recommend individualized and customized laser and skin care treatment plans (i.e. appropriate skin care regimen, products, and services)
- Laser hair removal
- Photo rejuvenation
- Microdermabrasion
- Microneedling
- Chemical peels
- Aesthetic Facials
- Skin tightening
- Body contouring
- Body Treatments; scrubs+wraps
- Clinical esthetics including threading
- providing prompt, professional and friendly service.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date electronic client records
- Ensure that all equipment is cleaned, sanitized and maintained at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other staff and management to improve efficiencies, processes and procedures in the clinic.
- Using spa software system to enter notes and information into the system
- Maintaining product inventory
- Cleaning, laundry and organizing tools and rooms after treatments
- Promote and sell spa services and retail skin care lines.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Medical Aesthetician Certification
- Exceptional customer care and service skills
- Highly skilled in performing laser and aesthetic services
- Must have a high level of clinical confidence and competence.
- Knowledgeable about skin care, skin conditions, treatments, and products
- Previous marketing/customer service/sales/retail experience is a definite advantage
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Highly professional and personable
- Reliable, dependable, and flexible
- self motivated, passionate and excited about the laser and aesthetic industry
- strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask and detail oriented
- Works well with a team and individually

- Second language in punjabi is an asset
- Must be self motivated and willing to go the extra mile for clients and to help build up clientele
