**In this position, you will be responsible for the daily delivery of ICSS’ Treatment/Transition Residential program.**
**Full Time - 70 - 80 hrs bi-weekly**
**Rotation available includes some days, evenings, and every 2nd weekend. WE DO NOT HAVE STRAIGHT DAYS OF MONDAY TO FRIDAY.**
**Bilingualism (French/English preferred)**

Innovative Community Support Services (ICSS) is a non-profit charitable organization that is committed to creating and providing families & individuals with innovative, high quality and cost-effective community-based programs and services that promote a strong sense of wellbeing while making a positive contribution to our culturally diversified community.
The support worker will provide person-centered support to individuals with a developmental disability, challenging behaviours and/or a dual diagnosis. The support worker will work directly with individuals to help them set goals and offer support to make healthy life choices. The support worker will work closely with the team and individuals to lead, observe, plan, and implement programs and activities that promote learning, development and independence in daily living, social and life skills.
**Educational Requirements**
- DSW, CYW, SSW with three years’ experience in the field.
- Fluency in both English and French is preferred.
**Experience Requirements**
- Experience in medication administration.
- Experience with life/social skills programming.
- Experience following behaviour protocols/guidelines.
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Management Support.
- Experience and ability to deal with challenging behavioural & crisis situations.
- Experience working with Dual Diagnosis, Developmental Disabilities & Mental Health.
- Must have a proven track record in support provision and positive, professional relationships with community partners and families.
- Experience in Trauma Informed Care.
**Responsibilities**
- Follow all ICSS guidelines, Policies and Procedures.
- Reflect and interpret the agency’s Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Service Principles in your work with enthusiasm and commitment.
- Understand and promote the rights and responsibilities of individuals. Empower and treat all individuals with respect and dignity.
- Work independently or within a team to prioritize and complete shift requirements while still meeting the individual’s needs.
- Support individuals to develop skills and assume roles which promote his/her effective participation in the home and community. Ensure all social needs are promoted in community involvement.
- Implement support for individuals to achieve personal goals and new skills as established through individual goal plans and their ISP (individual support plan).
- Ensure that the residence remains safe (Health & Safety, fire drills) and clean at all times.
- Participate in training/upgrading opportunities to enhance the level of care and skill offered to the individuals.
- Follow medication administration Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure accurate completion of administrative work.
- Follow all recording and reporting procedures.
- Support individuals with respect to personal hygiene, if required.
- Attend and actively participate in meetings, such as staff meetings, Individual Support Plan meetings, etc.
**Extra Skills Required**
- Computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Cooking and cleaning skills.
- Ability to set priorities to manage time within deadlines.
- Ability to follow direction and work as a member of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support new and unacquainted individuals with mínimal information.
- Effective conflict resolution, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
**Conditions of Employment**
- Possess a valid driver’s licence and recent driver’s abstract.
- Possess valid vehicle insurance.
- Access to personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Provide a new Vulnerable Sector Police Check, if required.
- Valid First Aid/CPR Level C certificate.
- Provide updated medical documentation, if required.
- Must be reliable and responsible.
