**DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL - Night Awake**
**Barrie, ON**

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community. Direct Support Professionals recognize people's rights to direct their life, understanding that each person has unique gifts and needs, and they support people to learn skills for their own growth and development.

**Requirements**:

- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Confirmation of COVID vaccination
- Access to reliable transportation

**_Preferred: _**
- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field;
- Knowledge of Risk Management, the Criminal Justice System, the Education System and the Mental Health System

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.92 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Barrie, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Developmental Services: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred)
