SERVICE AND REPAIRS / REPAIR SHOP / QA ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN
**Reports To**
General Manager
**Job Purpose**
The Service and Repairs electronics technician's responsibilities include diagnosing testing and repairing electronics, reading manuals and installing new equipment, performing routine servicing and inspections, assisting with training, recruitment, and electronic upgrades, and reporting to the supervisor. You should be able to provide excellent customer service and manage electronic systems and equipment efficiently.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
Overall Responsibilities:
- Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, Testing and maintaining electronic assemblies, components and systems.
- Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic systems.
- Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaising with Supervisors and or department Team leads, to discuss work schedules and times.
- Providing training and supervision for new technicians and apprentices.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment.
- Interpreting drawings, manuals, and instructions in order to perform duties.
- Following written, and or verbal instructions.
- Attending regular training workshops and reporting to the General Manager.
- Performing other related duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
- 5 years of experience in repairing, testing, and servicing electronic equipment
- Degree or completed coursework in electronics engineering.
- A valid driver’s licence for client travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Solid works
- Must be fluent English written and spoken

**Working Conditions**
- Work a standard schedule 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Mondays to Fridays
- This position may require travel within the provinces of Ontario
- May involve extended periods of sitting and working on a computer monitor
- Work with sophisticated Electronics testing and measuring equipment
- Work in a repair shop and manufacturing environment will be an asset.
**Salary**: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
