Full Time Associate

**THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION**. _Availability morning and Friday to Sunday is required._

Hazukido is a world-renown bakery café brand from Taiwan built on the Shokunin spirit of Japan, offering premium croissants, baked goods, and drinks made from the finest ingredients, wrapped in the most excellent customer care. As a part of this beloved brand, Hazukido location in Yorkville area in Toronto (Hazukido Yorkville) is an upscale café offering both dine-in and take-out options for our patrons.

**What is the position?**

Hazukido Yorkville located in the heart of downtown Toronto is looking for a full-time employee (with weekend availability) with a positive attitude and a smile always on their face, coupled with experience in baking, or cake and pastry decoration, front of house capabilities, barista, and a laser focus on customer service, details, and operational efficiency, and a growth mindset to join our tight-knit team.

**What are the key tasks?**
- Bring a smile to each customer and treat colleagues the same way and effectively and skillfully address all concerns and issues with logics, kindness, and results-driven resolutions
- Master SOPs in order to prepare croissants, baked goods and drinks accurately and in a timely manner
- Expertly and intuitively predict, troubleshoot, and manage store and customer issues and report to Supervisor and Manager
- Handle POS and provide front of house maintenance, back of house support, as well as daily operations including but not limited to customer support, store management, inventory maintenance, replenishment and reporting
- Champion health and safety regulations and education to create a safe, clean, welcoming, positive, and enjoyable environment for customers and employees
- Contribute to the overall success of the bakery cafe and the franchise by participating in product development, business development, and completing required and recommended training, coaching, etc.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have (in order of importance)**:

- Previous personal or professional experience in barista, baking or pastry/cake decoration, and customer service
- A positive, can-do attitude, and a smile on your face in every interaction
- Natural sales and business acumen, excellent communication and customer service aptitudes with a calm, positive approach to solve problems, to learn, and to adapt
- Superb attention to details and ability to receive and facilitate feedback for the common goal purpose
- Accountability for personal performance and growth as well as collective success

**Nice-to-have**:

- Previous relevant experience or education, especially in the food and beverage, retail, or hospitality industry
- Preferred experience as barista, customer service, and baker in a coffee shop, cafe, bakery settings
- Food Handler/Safety Certificate (required to obtain within a week of employment) and schedule flexibility required

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
