If you have a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License, have not been convicted of serious offences under the Highway Traffic Act, and have reliable transportation to our yard in Stayner, join the Blue Feather Communications Family, and let's grow together **Duties and Responsibilities include and not limited to**: - Digging holes and trenches - Pulling cable - Operating equipment and tools - General site preparation and clean-up as directed - Complete the Driver's daily pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle inspections - Complete the Driver's log book, accident or incident reports - Handle and distribute construction materials, as well as safely loading and unloading vehicles with supplies and equipment as directed - Able to read construction plans - Able to run gas and power equipment (i.e. saws, drills, jumping jacks) - Able to assess work environment for potential health and safety hazards - Removal of all debris from work sites - Assist with traffic control as directed - Other duties as required **Qualifications**: - High school diploma or relevant experience - 1-2 years of related experience in the construction industry - Good verbal communication skills and ability to work with others - Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs) safely - Must be able to speak, read and write in English - Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable health and safety training as per legislative and job requirements - Ability to follow instructions - Must be able to work in restricted and tight spaces and at heights - Must have a valid G Driver's License or equivalent with a clean driver's abstract - Must be able to provide a clear criminal record check **Physical Demands** **Working Conditions** - Indoor/Outdoor working environment; ability to work in all weather conditions - Travelling to various sites may be required - Overtime work may be required **Company Benefits & Perks**: - Training /Mentorship program will be provided - Paid training and certifications - Tools and Equipment will be provided - Uniform/Boot Spending Account - Extended health care - Life Insurance - Retirement Plan - Opportunity for overtime **Job Category**:Dig & Repair **Shift Information**:Monday to Friday; overtime during nights and weekends may be required. **Affiliation**:Non-Union **Work Location**:Stayner, Ontario; travel may be required. **Preferred Experience/ Training and Certifications**: - First Aid/CPR Training - Working at Heights - Equipment operation experience - Working in a construction environment **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.47-$24.10 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Extended health care Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Weekends as needed Licence/Certification: - Class G Licence (preferred) Work Location: On the road
