**Main responsibilities**:

- Be accountable for departmental budget development and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Host Quality Review Meetings (QRMs)
- Oversee development and implementation of quality plans, programs, and procedures using statistical quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses
- Ensures that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards
- Oversees and/or investigates non-quality events and develops corrective actions for identified discrepancies
- Interfaces with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, repair center and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met
- Recommends corrective actions, dispositions and modifications when Quality Manager support is requested on projects or continuous improvement initiatives; support the day to day business requirements
- Management of employees schedule including approval of hours worked, vacation and ensuring support on site, for example
- Oversee Quality impacted projects and implementation.
- Participate in DAO monthly meetings for oversight purposes
- Support employees in day to day activities as a mentor and leader; create new hire training plan to ensure new employees successful transition into the team

**Required skills**:

- Must have a 5 years Quality Assurance Environment experience
- Minimum of 3 years management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of technical engine maintenance experience (Quality or Engineering)
- Experience working in aerospace
- Recognized academic Quality Assurance training or equivalent
- Abilities to support shop floor employees and other support group with QA and regulatory related issues
- Knowledge of performing investigation in a Quality Assurance environment.

**Other**
- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to be on-call weekdays and/or weekends
- Ability to present in front of large audience; run workshops and teamplayer
- Strong ability to read technical documents
- Strong report writing skills (english)
- Willingness to take courses to advance their current knowledge/skill set
