Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio (Ambleside) embraces the harmony of Peruvian and Japanese cultures while incorporating the bounty of riches the West coast has to offer.
We are seeking an energetic, eager, and ambitious Cook 1 to join our team.
The Cook 1 role includes (but is not limited to) the following:
- Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
- Prepare components of each dish on the menu, i.e. vegetables, meat, and sauces.
- Report to the Head Chef and follow instructions accordingly.
- Ensure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
- Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
- Ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
At least 2 to 3 years’ previous experience as a cook in a restaurant kitchen is required
Cook trade certification or equivalent training and experience is an asset.
Clear conversational English language ability is required.
