Bim Specialist/design Team Lead

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a BIM Manager/Design Team Lead to support our design/modeling teams through the various stages of the modeling/signoff process. This includes development of Revit families in support of detailed and accurate Bill of Materials for manufacturing (LOD400) of Structurally Insulated Panels.

Main Responsibilities:

- Create and maintain Revit templates
- Build and document workflow standards
- Create and maintain SIPs BIM models in Revit
- Oversee the update of connection detail libraries
- Create and maintain structural engineering drawing standards
- Responsible for communicating and reinforcing modeling standards
- Facilitate BIM training sessions as required
- Assist in producing shop drawings in Revit and cut lists using Dynamo and Excel
- Communicating with clients, and the project management team for project deliverables
- Collaborate with the design team in developing automation tools for design workflow using Revit Families
- Revising and Creating SIPs connection details in Revit

Minimum Qualification:

- Minimum 5 years Revit experience with 3 years in BIM management
- Experience managing and leading a team of designers as well as working effectively with multiple cross functioning teams
- Understanding of building systems, wood frame construction, construction codes and building connection details
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD along with experience delivering projects on Revit BIM platform
- Demonstrate intermediate capabilities with analytical geometry (basic trigonometry and linear algebra)
- Ability to read architectural drawings, structural engineering drawings and basic MEP drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication and can clearly articulate your ideas to motivate action
- Ninja like problem solving abilities and laser focused attention to detail

Desired Qualifications:

- Good algorithmic thinking - can see the path to success and the steps needed to get there
- Proficient in Dynamo for Revit
- Coding skills (DesignScript, Python, C#)
- Excellent understanding of computational geometry methods
- Knowledge of building physics, and structural mechanics
