**McMan South** is a non-profit organization that provides social services to the communities of Brooks, Crowsnest Pass, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Pincher Creek, and the surrounding area of southern Alberta. Our dedicated team cultivates professional relationships with participants to ensure they have access to the opportunities they deserve, through 30-plus programs and over 200 staff in the region.

**McMan is looking for a Summer Recreation Coordinator for our Parkside Group Home in Lethbridge.**

**This positions are 35 hours per week and will run for 10 weeks.**

**Here’s how you will contribute as a Summer Recreation Coordinator within our Group Homes**:

- Work with the team to coordinate and facilitate recreation activities for up to six youth aged 12-17.
- Provide life-skills instruction, implement behaviour support strategies and youth mentoring.
- Responsible for accessing community resources and liaising with residential staff and case managers.
- Be flexible to respond to program needs.

**Here’s what you’ll need to get an interview**:

- Enrolled in a Degree/Diploma in addiction counselling, social work, or related field.
- One-year post-secondary education in a related field.
- Education and/or experience working with youth preferred. A combination of experience and education may be considered.
- **Due to funder criteria, applicants for this position must be between the age of 18 and 30 and not on a work Visa.**:

- Clear Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector and clear Intervention Record Check obtained from Children’s Services dated within the past six months.
- Driver’s Abstract, valid Class 5 Driver’s License, use of reliable vehicle and minimum $2M third party liability vehicle insurance.
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certificate.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 10 weeks

Pay: $19.00 per hour
