Structural Eit

Duke Engineering is looking for a Structural EIT with appropriate qualifications to join our team in Huntsville, Ontario. We specialize in the structural design of custom cottages and boathouses in one of the most unique environments Ontario has to offer. The primary responsibilities of this position include:

- Provide structural design of wood, steel, and concrete members for detailed residential and light commercial structures.
- Complete structural analysis of structural members for strength and serviceability.
- Utilize AutoCAD & Revit software to prepare preliminary permit and as-constructed drawings/details.
- Complete site inspections to review existing structures and investigate areas of structural deterioration.
- Conduct construction site visits to review and report on the conformance of the contractor's work with contract documents and specifications.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering
- Preferred experience in the residential construction industry
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Wordworks, Revit and RISA design software
- Ability to understand engineering and architectural drawings
- Working knowledge of quality standards for structural design and planning, engineering fundamentals and principles, as well as all relevant codes and jurisdictions
- Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Consistent attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and technical excellence
- Ability to problem solve independently as well a collaboratively with other team members and clients
- Ability to work efficiently, meet targeted schedules and manage project priorities
- Valid Driver's License and transportation

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
