**Position Overview**
Hawkesbury General Hospital is looking for a EEG / EMG Technician whose versatility and ability to prioritize are matched only by their exemplary customer approach and empathy.
CHALLENGES AWAITING YOU
As an EEG (Electroencephalogram) / EMG (Electromyography) technician, you will perform, understands and is knowledgeable in techniques of EEG/EMG testing. The Technician is responsible for operating equipment and ensuring accurate and technically correct test results as a member of the cardiac care team, in compliance with professional standards and guidelines of the Canadian Association of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists.
TEMPORAY FULL-TIME POSITION approximately for 1 year
**Criminal Check**
As a pre-condition of employment:
- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
**What we are looking for**
- College Degree in a field related to Electroneurodiagnostics
- Accreditation by the Canadian Board of Registration of Electroencephalograph Technologists (CBRET) and the Canadian Association of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (CAET)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a Cardio
- Service performing EEG and EMG
- Demonstrated critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills to plan and organize appropriately, anticipate, prevent, and resolve problems;
- Effective time management;
- Customer service oriented approach;
- Effective communication in both French and English;
- Effective interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated use of infection control practices related to work.
- Ability/experience with clinical administrative software,
EPIC and Cupid would be an asset
