**Position Summary**
Supervisor, Participant Services ensures the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of Terra are fulfilled. Supervisors in Participant Services at Terra provide support and direction to the staff working within our various programs and geographic sites. Supervisors are responsible for case/project management, performance coaching, ongoing staff development, program outcome and evaluation, data management, and monitoring trends/issues in their program(s).
Supervisors within Participant Services work as a team who are responsible for monitoring the overall functioning of Terra’s Participant Programs, Services, and partner relationships, to ensure consistency of participant programs and service delivery. Each Supervisor, Participant Services have staff, partnership, and project-based portfolios that they are responsible for.
**Job Conditions**
This is a full-time **temporary position ending on or before August 30, 2026**; 35 hours/week. Monday through Friday, however hours of work will vary based on the needs of the position and agency. This position may include mínimal, occasional evenings and weekends. The location of work is primarily at Terra Centre 10320 146 street, Edmonton AB.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with all Terra staff and leadership, promoting a unified “Team Terra” approach.
- Schedule and host regular effective individual and team supervision with program staff that focuses on providing support, guidance, education, and constructive performance feedback.
- Complete annual Professional Growth Plans, providing regular goal-based coaching.
- Lead, model and mentor evidence-based innovations in team development, program delivery and collaborative work.
- Build accountability measures and clear expectations to ensure clarity of work responsibilities, timelines, and maintaining healthy work culture.
- Assist and support in the creation, monitoring and accountability in evaluative systems that measure the delivery of services.
- Participate in Human Resource tasks for the full lifecycle of employees, including, but not limited to, involvement the recruitment process, providing staff orientation and facilitating ongoing training.
- Ensure best practices of staff and program delivery through alignment to program logic models, accreditation standards, agency policy, strategic plan, and mission, vision and values.
- Provide clear, consistent communication to program staff to promote empowered, values-based alignment to Terra’s mission and vision.
- Plan and facilitates community of practice for staff team to ensure alignment and emerging practices are being discussed and applied to the participant work.
- Coordinate with Supervisor team and Manager to plan, prepare, and facilitate team supervisions, meetings, staff team development, and professional development opportunities.
- Promote standards and accountability with administrative tasks, including but not limited to, maintaining participant files, auditing case management, monthly reports, staff approvals, Critical Incident reporting, Occupational Health and Safety documentation, staff documentation, and supporting Manager, Participant Services gather participant data and narratives for reporting.
- In consultation with Manager, plan, initiate, coordinate program activities that will fulfill the agency mission.
- Actively promote Terra Centre’s programs and services, providing leadership and participation in Terra meetings, committees, and events.
- Attend, participate, and represent Terra in various community or partner meetings, as assigned, to build and maintain relationships with external partners and collaborators.
- Be an ambassador of Terra, our mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and code of honour.
**Qualifications/Requirements**
- A Degree or Diploma in the field of human/health services or community development.
- A minimum of 3 years of formal supervisory experience and strong skill sets related to developing, supporting, coaching, guiding, and evaluating staff.
- Home visitation experience with social-ecological, strength-based, and participant focused lens is considered an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours if required.

- Proven excellence in building authentic relationships with participants, staff, community partners, and funders.
- Knowledge of service delivery standards and practices.
