Supermarket Cashier

**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions using a Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash with precision, ensuring proper change is given and maintaining an organized cash drawer.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Promote and sell store products effectively to maximize sales opportunities.
- Address customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

**Requirements**:

- Proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.

Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

- 8 hour shift

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
