Clearpoint Toronto Surgical, a division of Clearpoint Health Network is recruiting for a **full-time Operating Room Surgical Case Cart Picker **at our **Dixon Road surgical centre.

**Position Summary**

Under general supervision of the Operating Room Nurse Manager, the OR Case Cart Picker is responsible for assembling surgical case carts and ensures proper supplies for each case are delivered as needed and works to promote a team effort in meeting surgical case needs. Works with OR Nurse Manager and Inventory Specialist notifying of low stock items to ensure adequate supplies. Identifies and anticipates potential problems by taking action to prevent or minimize the effect of the issue. Facilitates continuous communications and performance improvement as it relates to all surgical instruments, implants, supplies, and equipment.

**Responsibilities include**:

- assembles surgical case carts with proper surgical instrumentation and other necessary surgical supply items
- Coordinates, pulls from inventories, and prepares necessary supplies and instruments for emergent and routine surgical cases from pick list
- Liaise between the Medical Device Reprocessing team and Operating Room staff to assure smooth, uninterrupted daily materials support
- Performs other related functions as assigned

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Two (2) years of related supply/materials management experience, preferably in a large, complex healthcare environment
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Highly detail oriented, with an ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities
- Familiar with MS Office
- Experience with the receipt of deliverables. Ability to sort and store supplies in a neat, clean, and well organized manner
- Ability to break down and remove cardboard packaging and shipping materials, rotate and replenish stock items, and pull and process outdated supply items according to established practice.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Medical terminology training and/or certificate an asset
- Familiarity with hospital supplies and surgical instruments

**Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code**.
