Your role
Please note: the work schedule may include weekend shifts and superior French-language skills are required.- University degree or equivalent- Three (3) years’ directly related experience, including proven ability in the field and knowledge of the broadcasting industry- Excellent reporting and interviewing skills- Ease with live reporting- Bilingualism (English and French) required- Knowledge of Manitoba affairs and Franco-Manitoban community issues- Knowledge of CBC/Radio-Canada journalistic and programming policies- Ability to work flexible hours and on weekends as needed- Ability to work with a variety of teams- Critical-thinking abilities- Proven ability to work in a high-stress, tight-deadline environment- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously- Understanding of the public broadcaster’s role and responsibilities- Valid driver’s licence, as well as a driving record that meets the criteria of CBC/Radio-Canada’s insurer
