We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team at Circus Play Cafe. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing, and serving high-quality beverages and food items and taking care of our play space. Your commitment to exceptional customer service and attention to detail will ensure that every guest and little one has a memorable experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking their orders accurately, and assisting them with any questions or special requests.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, utensils, and dining areas to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of food and beverage items, and reporting shortages as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork and communication.
- Keeping up with the cleanliness of the playspace on top of other barista roles

**Experience**
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety practices is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $17.40 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
