Northern Sight Optometry is a brand new private practice in the growing area of Kleinburg, with an emphasis on creating a culture where patients and team members feel they are part of the community. Our future optician/frame stylist will be responsible for selling, fitting, and dispensing glasses. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills and adopt a leadership role amongst a growing team.

In the early phases of the new practice, our optician will assist the team in answering phones, patient scheduling, insurance verification, and other tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients. We provide training for our optician / frame stylist in optical sales and, more specifically, on the products that we carry to ensure that you can provide each patient with the perfect match. The compensation model will be an hourly wage with a bonus structure, which can be adjusted based on experience.

Optician / Frame Stylist roles and responsibilities:

- Performing optical sales and frame selection for patients
- Being familiar with our optical inventory consisting of a mixture of independent and designer frame brands
- Fitting, adjusting, and dispensing optical products
- Stocking, inventory, and ordering optical products
- Edging lenses with in-house optical equipment
- Soft contact lens insertion and removal training
- Assisting with patient pre-testing
- Assisting in administrative tasks in the early stages of the practice being open
- Answering phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance
