**Position Overview**:
We are looking for a Door Hardware Technician to join our Service Department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Attend service calls, trouble shoot issues, and provide solutions to customers (working with other departments as required)
- Provide excellent customer service on behalf of the company
- Install, service, and repair commercial door hardware
- Install, service, and repair automatic door operators
- Install, service, and repair hollow metal and wooden doors
- Install, service, and repair electro-mechanical hardware
- Lock installation, service, and re-keying
- Complete and submit documentation as required
- Other duties as assigned by management

**Requirements**:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must possess a valid Ontario G class driver’s license
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must have a safe place to park a company vehicle overnight
- Must have a clean criminal record
- Must be familiar with the GTA
- Must be computer literate and able to learn new software
- Must provide your own basic tools (specialty tools are provided by the company)
- Must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team
- Must have above-average technical/mechanical skills
- Must have strong problem-solving skills
- Must be willing to attend trainings and enjoy learning new skills and technologies
- Must be trustworthy and dependable
- Must have great attention to detail

**Experience**:

- Experience as a Locksmith / Door Hardware Technician.

**Education**:

- Industry related certificates are considered a bonus

**Job Type**:

- Permanent
- Full Time (40 hours per week)

**Hours of Work**:

- Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- We **DO NOT **have any on-call or after hours emergency service requirement

**Working Conditions**:

- Travel to various customer sites across the GTA (industrial, commercial, construction sites, etc.), coming to the office/warehouse when necessary
- Must be able to walk, climb, stand, lift, and bend repeatedly
- Some lifting of heavy equipment or materials (with a partner)

**Location**:

- ABC Security’s offices and warehouses are located at 55 Queens Plate Drive, Etobicoke, ON M9W 6P2. However, technicians mainly work at client locations.
