_**Child Care Provider / Early Childhood Educator Supply Position**_ Home Comforts Childcare is a Family Age Grouping facility caring for children ages 0 - 4 years of age. - **Our Vision**_ We believe that children are competent capable members of our community. We believe in engaging children in the community by giving them the opportunity to be productive members and that we learn through our experiences with nature and the environment around us. By making use of resources available in our community, we can provide opportunities for children and families to build a stronger relationship and connection with the community. Through walking field trips throughout our town, children will learn social skills, make community connections, and gain an appreciation for the environment in which they live. Our home-like environment will provide a safe and inviting space for children to express themselves through creative experiences, reflective learning, and group activities. Our staff will focus on building relationships with each child and their family. This will encourage children to learn social skills, self-regulation, meet developmental milestones and will give them a solid foundation for the future. It is our goal to facilitate a strong connection between families, the children and their community that will last beyond their childcare experience. **Needed Immediately** We are currently looking for a fun, energetic positive person who enjoys the outdoors, is creative, enthusiastic and finds fun in everyday learning with children. Are you someone who thinks outside the box, is open to "Risky Play" and enjoys letting the children lead the way in their learning? We would love to have you join our team of Early Childhood Educators. **We need someone who is** - available between 7:30 and 5:30 - able to work a flexible schedule,, both full days (9 hours with an hour for lunch) and half day shifts (4 hours with a 1/2 hour break) **You will need to be available for**: - call in shifts to cover sick days, personal days and, - scheduled shifts to cover vacation days and as extra staff for field trips and day outings. Good communication is a must as you will be communicating regularly with coworkers to provide a seamless program. Together you will, share the children's experiences, interests, ideas and plan future opportunities for learning **Qualifications** Early Childhood Education Diploma (preferred) Registered member with the College of Early Childhood Educators (preferred) Valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level “C” Negative Criminal reference check/Vulnerable Sector Check Food Handlers Certificate (an asset) Knowledge of “How Does Learning Happen?” (preferred) Good oral communication skills **Responsibilities** Engage with children to provide constant supervision and create a fun, engaging environment. Gain knowledge and adhere to Home Comforts Childcare's Vision Statement and Polices and Procedures. Use full understanding of child development to guide children in their learning and self regulation skills Participate independently and as part of a team, collaborating with coworkers to create continuity in programming throughout the room Observe, document and reflect on a daily basis to provide the best learning environment for the children Engage in regular communication with families and caregivers to create a sense of belonging. **Job Type**: Casual Pay: $20.00-$25.86 per hour **Benefits**: - Casual dress - On-site parking Ability to commute/relocate: - Waterford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Work Location: In person
