**Youth and Family Support Worker**

Required Elements

*Hours : Monday-Friday 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

*Must have valid drivers license, reliable vehicle and insurance.

*Clear CRIM, IRC

Assets: Experience working with youth ages 12-19 with an emphasis on Indigenous Culture.

Do you love to help support our aboriginal youth? Are you diligent, compassionate, and dedicated to helping those who require healthy, stable and positive relationships? Do you enjoy going on outings into the community and be involved in creating and promoting the growth of people? Are you capable in composing notes and writing monthly reports? Our Support Workers for the Family Intervention Program are required to maintain reliable transportation, and be willing to use their personal vehicle to complete their duties.

Our Youth and Family Support Worker must be willing to provide additional support in various capacities and situations involving community outings and within a home environment. We require relationship building in the capacity to prevent, reduce or eliminate behaviors which may place a child, family, or community at risk. Must support and enhance a stable and nurturing family environment in which children can successfully grow and develop. Must be willing to assist in improving and encouraging family interaction. Must be able to respond appropriately and immediately to a family in a point of crisis. Also, encourage, engage and enhance our youth and family support networks.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
