Drawing Checker

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled Drawing Checker to join our dynamic team. A Checker's responsibilities include the review of, and markup of design drawings for quality control before issuing them to the customer.

**Duties**
- Understand drawing and editing functions within the CAD programs.
- Review assembly and detail drawings for compliance with standard drawing practices, customer specifications, industry standards, and manufacturing & assembly practices.
- Receiving direction and interacting with project leaders and managers.
- Maintaining meeting and communication notes and project schedules for drawing, checking and employee evaluations.

**Experience**
- Must have a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or/College certificate in Engineering and/or relevant experience are assets. One (1) year of experience are a must.
- A thorough understanding of blueprint reading and industry-standard drafting practices are required.
- AutoCAD-2D/3D & Autodesk Inventor knowledge and experience are assets.
- An understanding of manufacturing and assembly practices and procedures are an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical information effectively.
