Lulu Bar is looking for an experienced Bartender to fill out their team on a full-time or part-time permanent basis. Bartenders are responsible for several functions including, but not limited to, providing first class customer service to all guests in a prompt and professional manner, educating guests on menu items, processing transactions, payments, while maintaining cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant and bar. **COMPENSATION**
- Hourly wage: $15 per hour

**DUTIES & ESSENTIAL **RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Create, mix, pour, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant guests.
- Consistently execute drink production principles and practices, ensuring that all recipes and practices are followed.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to all guests maintaining a personable and professional image representative of the restaurant’s values.
- Building and maintaining regular clientele.
- Adapt to different personalities of clients, vendors and coworkers to maintain high service levels and efficient operations.
- Ensure all services and orders delivered within the bar operation are charged for correctly.
- Maintain effective cost and portion controls to meet profit goals.
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and in excellent condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure drink times are in line with the restaurant guidelines.
- Assist in placing product orders and ensure fresh product through a detailed and updated order guide.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, provincial and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
- Work overtime when needed and assist the workload of others.
- Execute additional tasks are required.

**QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Minimum 2 years’ experience bartending required
- A passion for craft cocktail creation and development considered and asset.
- Wine, spirit and cocktail knowledge is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills to establish relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and guests.
- Ability to fluently communicate in both written and verbal English.
- Must have knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functions.
- Possesses basic math skills, can handle money, and operate a point-of-sale system confidently.
- Pro Serve Certification required but can be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food or beverage weighing up 25 pounds.
- Must be over 18 as alcohol service and open scheduling availability is a requirement.
