The Knowledge Translation Program (KTP) at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute of St. Michael's Hospital is currently looking for Research Coordinator I to join our dynamic and collegial team. Currently, we are seeking an individual to take on a full time (1.0 FTE) 12-month contract to support the KTP’s Team for Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES). This position will support with all phases of research in strict compliance with the protocols, laws, regulations, policies, guidelines, and procedures.

The position requires working with a large number of stakeholder groups (clinical, research, administrative, and client/patients) of congregate living settings; therefore, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.

The Research Coordinator I would also have exposure to other TIES projects. Examples of the kind of work supporting and participating in implementing strategies to increase the uptake of evidence based practices (including collecting and storing participant samples), building strong supportive relationships amongst diverse stakeholders, and evaluating implementation projects using qualitative and quantitative research skills.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders/partners in research, long-term care facilities, retirement homes, and shelters to support implementation of a COVID-19 testing intervention
- Monitor the progress of project activities; develop and maintain records of project activities and prepare periodic reports as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and/or regulatory bodies.
- Support team members and study sites through capacity building and coaching on the use of RATs
- Travel to project sites to provide support, conduct needs assessment, data collection, etc.
- Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling, and conduct of qualitative interviews
- Develop frameworks for project evaluation and monitoring, including indicator development and reporting
- Oversee and undertake collection and management of study-related data - ensuring quality control
- Maintain data documentation, physical and logical storage of records, in accordance with hospital policies and relevant privacy regulations
- Collaborate with team members to write and edit presentations, reports, proposals, and publications
- Follow hospital, ethics, privacy regulations and KTP’s policies and procedures
- Develop project materials (how-to-guides, etc.)
- Oversee the preparation of REB submissions or amendments relative to the initiation and conduct of projects

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor of Science (Master’s Degree preferred in Health Sciences, Public Health, Social Sciences (e.g., psychology, [medical] sociology), Health/Research Communications, Health Policy, Adult Education) or a related field or 3 years in a relevant Research Coordinator role
- Minimum 1 year of Research Coordinator experience in a healthcare or community-based setting
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and capable of independent decision-making
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changes in project direction
- Access to a vehicle or other transportation purposes to travel independently between project sites in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding areas
- Strong problem solving skills
- Experience in a healthcare related setting is an asset
- Ability to work from home to comply with COVID-19 measures (e.g., access to phone, internet, etc.)
- Ability to understand and follow a scientific research protocol and procedure, and complex, detailed technical instructions related to RATs
- Ability to work in and contribute to a diverse, collegial team environment
