**Afternoon & Night Shift Tool & Die Associates Required**

**Purpose**

Industrial Tool & Die Associates are responsible for maintaining and / or repairing equipment and tooling that will allow the facility to meet its OEE, Internal / External PPM, Productivity, On-Time Delivery & Scrap KPI’s.

**Responsibilities**
- Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance to all tooling including but not limited to stamping die’s, roll forming tooling, general machining, etc.
- Complete work orders in E-Maint CMMS including Preventative Maintenance, Scheduled Corrective Maintenance, Non-Scheduled Corrective and Project Maintenance for all dies
- Close out work orders in E-Maint CMMS including adding parts and labor to work order
- Respond to emergency breakdown Tool & Die phone pages in a timely fashion
- Actively participate in tooling upgrades and or improvements
- Escalate tooling concerns to toolroom supervision
- Perform all work while observing industry best practice
- Work within your capabilities and within the constraints of your specific trade
- Actively participate in process improvements including DOS activities
- Conduct all work while observing Dana’s Health and Safety Policy’s
- Conduct all work while observing Dana’s Quality policy’s
- Attend monthly toolbox and hourly communication meetings
- Be familiar with and support departmental and company KPI’s
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and always demonstrate respect for fellow workers
- Understanding Dana focus on customer centricity - “The voice of the customer” and safety as everyone’s priority.

**Qualifications**
- Secondary school diploma or GED equivalent, with technical courses in motive and mechanical equipment and control systems normally operating in a manufacturing setting; completion of an apprenticeship as a Millwright is not required but is an asset.
- 5+ years of tool & die experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experience in light-assembly manufacturing, stamping, PLC’s.
- Experience with safety requirements or procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and such as 5-S, SMED, etc.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, standard work instructions, safety instructions and maintenance records.
- Basic computer, computer software, and arithmetic skills for document input and control (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook), written communications skills.
- Sound organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Reliable attendance record.
- The ability to learn quickly and to work well independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with all types of shop tools
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

**Notes**
- Must be able to meet physical requirements for the safe operation of tow-motors and material moving equipment, including visual acuity, manual dexterity
- Must be able to successfully complete required safety fork lift operator’s license within the trial period provided by Article of the Collective Agreement
