We continue to grow and today are looking for a committed, talented, star to join our team as our **Packaging Intern.**
**Position Summary/Objective**:
This position has a positive impact on the company by ensuring packaging data accuracy, improving packaging quality and line efficiency as well as developing new packaging components.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Demonstrate and uphold Riverside’s Core Values
- Close collaboration with PKG Team and cross functional team (Manufacturing, Product R&D, Production, Supply Chain, etc) to develop packaging components from concept to implementation
- Coordinate plant trials to test packaging materials on commercial scale packaging lines
- Coordinate packaging tests, such as compression and ship tests
- Manage packaging specifications and Finished Product Assemblies (50% of the work)
- Input packaging info into a new data base
- Update packaging info and ensure their accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues related to packaging materials; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to remedy the issue and make plans to prevent future occurrence
- Keeps the work atmosphere** FUN** by keeping it light and welcoming
- More duties as the individual develops and gains experience
**Reporting Relationships**
***The position reports directly to the Packaging Development Manager.
**Education & Qualifications**
- ** Patient **and **detail oriented**:
- Enjoy working in a team and in a fast-paced environment
- Science or engineering degree in progress, preferably coop term after the 3rd year of degree
**Skills & Abilities**
- Ability to take **OWNERSHIP** and prioritize workload
- ** TEAM** player with a positive attitude
- Exhibits **GRIT** with a positive attitude with a desire to learn and collaborate
