Pharmacy Assistant

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at Pharmasave #429 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.
**Patient Focused Care Responsibilities**:

- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Support the fitting of Pharmasave’s assortment of compression socks and stockings; training will be provided.
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
- Previous experience within a pharmacy is an asset.
- Proficiency in Kroll and a high level of accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry are valuable assets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

**Schedule**:

- 32 to 40 hours per week.
- The store operates Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- This role includes one weekend shift per month.
