Job Responsibilities:

- Preparing painting surfaces by washing, sanding, scraping or removing old paint as necessary
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material
- Preparing the surrounding area by covering with drop cloths or plastic
- Removing fixtures such as door knobs and light switch covers
- Moving furniture and equipment as necessary to reach the entire surface of the project
- Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers or sealers
- Spray paint as needed (Airless and HVLP)
- Prepares, cleans, tapes and preps all job sites
- Removes old paint coating, if necessary
- Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned.
- Cleans up worksite debris
- Cleaning up supplies and replacing fixtures when project is complete

Qualifications/Skills:

- High school diploma or GED certification required
- Understanding of colour theory and various finish types (although on-the-job training will be provided)
- Capable of receiving and following instructions and communicating with co-workers
- Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to details and always alert to ensure safety
- Conducts herself/ himself professionally at all times
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Ability to carry heavy equipment and supplies, including tools and buckets of paints
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Previous painting experience preferred
- Proficiency with painting tools and equipment a plus
- Ability to safely operate tools
- Experience in decorative and faux finishes a plus

**Salary**: $18.63-$25.00 per hour
