**Position - Environmental Services Manager (Full Time)**

Hellenic Home for the Aged Inc., a not-for-profit campus of care which provides multiple services at various locations within the Greater Toronto Area is currently seeking a passionate Environmental Services Manager with excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills, to work collaboratively with the Administrators, and the driven resident care team to provide an exceptional level of quality care to our seniors.

Reporting to the Administrators, the Environmental Services Manager manages the housekeeping, laundry and maintenance departments to achieve high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, to provide quality linen service, and to maintain a safe, well-functioning physical plant, all within the Home’s policies and procedures, and all applicable standards, legislation and regulations.
- **Responsibilities include (but are not limited to)**:_
- Selects, orientates, supervises, delegates tasks, disciplines, and evaluates the performance of the Environmental Services staff.
- Ensure compliance with all Long-Term Care regulations and established policies.
- Conduct daily inspection of the department to identify/resolve any potential hazards.
- Responsible for purchasing, receiving, and controlling all departmental supplies, which includes inventory controls.
- All aspects of departmental safety program management, including preventative maintenance, and repair of equipment.
- Ensure maintenance of operational records (i.e. audits, logs, and quotas).
- Supervision of contractors’ work to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Ensure dietary staff compliance with facility policies and procedures, including safety and sanitation rules and safe working practices.
- Leads the Environmental Services Departments Continuous Quality Improvement projects within the facility.
- **In order to join this dynamic and innovative team, you must have/be**:_
- Post-secondary degree or diploma required.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and/or if there are non, prevailing practices relating to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance, as applicable.
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in management of human and financial resources is an asset.
- Experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
- Health and Safety certification is an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally, and in writing.

Pay: $62,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
