Summary of Job Function:
Collaborating with the Engineering Department, the incumbent will work in parallel with the Setup and Maintenance teams to design, build, prepare, adjust and setup the mechanical aspects of the automation equipment such as robots and jigs used on the Production Floor. Responsibilities also include assisting with setup of any auxiliary equipment which is needed for production runs as well as change any tooling or jigs associated with the automated equipment.

**Principle Accountabilities**

Adjust, troubleshoot, and maintain cylinders, drivers, bowl feeders, dial tables, tooling, etc. on automatic equipment

Input into the design, responsible for the build and maintenance of EOAT's.

Mechanical setup, change over and PM Sonic Welders, 3PA, Inlet, barcoding machines and Enfield automation equipment

Diagnose and fix basic pneumatic, electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical systems and components.

Clean, unjam and PM conveyor systems
- Weening bros, EMI, belt conveyors, Intralox conveyors

Assist Setup with all auxiliary equipment at the machine
- Can seal, mold heater controls, thermolators

Fabrication of guarding, stands, holders, tooling, etc. may be required

Additional duties as required

**Requirements**:
Successful completion of Post-Secondary education in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar field with a 2, 3 or 4-year diploma.

Technical Aptitude for mechanical troubleshooting and repair

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word and Teams.

Previous experience working in automation and tooling is preferred

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Self-motivated and self-directing

Ability to work well with other departments is a must

Strong interpersonal skills

- Working in confined areas as needed (not confined spaces)
- Craneways, forklift, scissor lift, power tools, pneumatic tools, machine shop equipment and other miscellaneous equipment
