**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Provide property tax customer service to external customers via the front counter or telephone.
- Assist in the maintenance of the property tax roll and other related functions.
- Operate the electronic records management software program and process electronic and paper records as required by the Manager of Assessment Services, including filing records in the municipality’s filing system (electronic and paper).
- Operate, coordinate, and maintain the computerized property tax system, ownership records, tax financial records, school declaration records, property tax coding conventions, tax levying data, local improvement records, pre-authorized payment records, and tax recovery records.
- Retrieve documents, records, and reports.
- Provide clerical support for the Manager of Assessment Services.
**Qualifications**:
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in municipal government.
- Proficient with computerized accounting systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with Diamond and Laserfiche software would be a definite asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and teambuilding skills required, as well as the ability to handle public inquiries, complaints, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Must be able to work well on a team or with mínimal supervision.
- Able to maintain strict confidentiality.
