**Job Summary**

**Duties**:

- Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate freight movement.
- Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing for clients.
- Coordinate the logistics of shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries.
- Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that may arise during transit.
- Utilize freight brokerage software to manage orders, track shipments, and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

**Skills**:

- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable terms for both shippers and carriers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and partners.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite for managing data and documentation.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, freight classifications, and industry standards is preferred.
- Problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during the shipping process.
