**Who You Are**
The QA/RA Associate will support regulatory and compliance initiatives at CannMart as
effective communicator who is comfortable with creative problem solving and well versed
in the requirements of the Cannabis Regulations.
**Responsibilities**
- Support compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks (e.g. as prescribed by the Cannabis Act and Cannabis Regulations).
- Assist with vendor and supplier qualifications, from onboarding through to relationship management.
- Participate in post-market surveillance activities, including complaint management and investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Write and review deviation and change management reports and perform risk
- assessments.
- Research applicable regulatory frameworks and produce written analyses and
- opinions as needed to respond to inquiries received from other business units.
- Perform compliance checks on label proofs and assist in lot release preparation
- and review.
- Support incoming receipt and quality control of cannabis and packaging
- materials.
- Ensure that licensed activities are conducted according to standard operating procedures and work instructions and that controlled documents are kept up to date.
- Write standard operating procedures and work instructions for QA/RA functions.
- Cross-train team members and stakeholders in other business units on quality systems and regulatory processes, including GPP and GDocP.
- Support internal and external audits, including creation and/or review of CAPA
- plans.
- Coordinate quality investigations, complaint handling, adverse event reporting
- and mock recall activities.
- Champion quality assurance principles and best practices to support regulatory compliance and a culture of quality excellence.
- Additional duties as required from time-to-time.

**Education & Experience**
- Two or more years of experience in the cannabis industry is preferred. A combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.
- A Bachelor's of science degree or a diploma/certificate in regulatory affairs or equivalent cannabis training is an asset.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Cannabis Regulations is required.
- Prior experience supporting vendor management, quality investigations and post-market surveillance is preferred.
- Prior experience in change management, quality investigations, complaints handling and deviation reporting is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in researching and interpreting regulator frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written communication (e.g. with regulator bodies, report or protocol writing) Knowledge of industry trends and cannabis 2.0 product lines preferred Security clearance or QAP standing with Health Canada is an asset.
