Accounts Payable Technician

AgriHub Inc., headquartered in Blumenort, MB, holds ownership of Western Canada’s premier agricultural equipment and supply companies such as Penner Farm Services, Western Ag Systems and United Agri Systems. Specializing in the Dairy, Hog, Grain, Poultry and Manure Management sectors, we provide our farming partners with custom tailored Design-Build, Service and Supply solutions.

We are currently recruiting for an **Accounts Payable Technician** for our **Blumenort, MB**location.

**Principal Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Receive and verify invoices prior to payment for assigned vendors; verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Prepare batches of invoices for data entry; enter invoices for assigned vendors for payment using accounting software; process backup reports after data entry.
- Assist Accounting Supervisor with weekly cheque run by matching invoices to cheques and distributing accordingly.
- Reconcile vendor statements for assigned vendors, research and correct discrepancies.
- Provide administrative support to ensure effective and efficient office operations.
- Maintain accounts payable files.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all accounts payable files.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Serve as backup for other Accounts Payable positions.
- Serve as backup for Reception as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required**:

- Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Payable and maintenance of general ledger.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains accounting software.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Excellent internal/external customer service orientation and good teamwork skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
