**Key Responsibilities**

  • Build and maintain strong, supportive relationships with clients
  • Advocate for and support clients’ individual needs and goals
  • Implement effective, individualized behaviour management strategies

  • Provide timely response and support in crisis situations
  • Complete accurate and thorough clinical documentation after each visit
  • Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with team members

  • Adapt to a flexible schedule to meet urgent client needs

**Qualifications**

**Required**

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the social service sector
  • Proven ability to work with diverse populations, including individuals with developmental disabilities, dual diagnoses, and complex behaviours (including personal care)
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Skills Training, teaching replacement behaviours, task analysis, prompt fading, and identifying functions of behaviour
  • Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
  • Ability to obtain a clear and current Vulnerable Sector Check

**Preferred**

  • Additional training in behaviour management/modification
  • CPI or Safe Management Group certification
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including on-call or crisis response

**Education Requirements**

Graduate of a recognized diploma or degree program in one of the following (or a related field):

  • Social Service Work (SSW)
  • Developmental Service Work (DSW)
  • Child and Youth Care/Work (CYC/CYW)
  • Occupational Therapist Assistant/Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA/PTA)
  • Psychology
  • Social Work (BSW)
  • Personal Support Worker (PSW)
