Under the direction of the Manager and the supervision of the Food Services Supervisors, the Food Services Aide is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery and retrieval of patient meals, quantity food prep, and taking patient meal orders. With an understanding of the diets and service standards set out by Aramark.

While working in the cafeteria, the aide is responsible for serving customers, stocking cafeteria supplies, and cleaning duties. Adheres to hospital and departmental standards and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

**Required**:

- Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Food Safety Certification course that is recognized by the Ministry of Health
- Minimum of 1-year foodservice worker experience in an institutional setting or food service establishment
- Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
- Must have manual dexterity and ability to work with numbers for the required operation of an iPad POS system
- Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history

**Assets**:

- Food Service Worker program or equivalent on the job training, Food Safety Training, WHMIS or ability to attain
- Food service operations
- Bilingual - English and French

**Hours of Work**:Temporary Part Time, scheduled up to 24 hours a week. Must be available to work shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends. Shifts and hours may change according to departmental requirements and as per the SEIU collective agreement.

**Salary**:$24.54 - $25.11 an hour
