**About Larus**

**Essential Responsibilities**

As a member of the team, your responsibilities include:

- Meeting with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis to understand their problems, build a theoretical framework and translate the theory to code.
- Design and implement scalable, distributed AI/ML-based systems
- Design, development, integration and testing of AI/ML models
- Advocate high quality and best-practices in software design and development
- Close interaction with other team members on system integration and validation
- Perform data analysis, visualisation and modelling with large datasets
- Perform data acquisition, cleaning, and transformation
- Meeting sprint goals with the team and releasing deliverables to stakeholders and customers

**Required Skills**:

- Capable of working in an agile work environment.
- Strong object oriented programming (e.g. Python/C++/Java) experience
- Machine Learning and Data Mining
- Python data analysis and manipulation tools (e.g. pandas, numpy)
- AI/ML Packages (e.g. Tensorflow, Keras, Scikit-learn, PyTorch)
- Data collection, analysis and reporting
- Source Control based systems (e.g. Git)

**Preferred Skills**
- MLOPs (e.g. Kubeflow)
- Big Data Databases (e.g. Mongo DP, Data warehouses, NoSQL, Elasticsearch)
- SQL Databases (e.g. SQLite)
- Distributed Computing (e.g. Cloud, docker, kubernetes, dask)
- Trend analysis and/or predictive modelling (e.g classification, forecasting, clustering, regression)
- Software Unit Testing (e.g. Python unittest)
- Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment systems (e.g. Azure Devops)
- Data visualisation (e.g. matplotlib, seaborn, streamlit)
- Optimization (e.g. optuna, katib, jmetalpy, GA, optimization)
- Algorithms and Mathematics (e.g. linear algebra, statistics, mathematical programming)

**Education/Experience**
- University graduate degree in STEM (e.g. Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Engineering Physics, Computer Science etc.) (Master’s or Ph.D. is considered to be an asset)
- 3+ years of direct experience in design, development, deployment, and verification of AI/ML models in production pipelines
