Millwork Estimator/project Manager

Progressive and established custom woodwork and store fixture manufacturer company looking for an experienced Millwork Estimator and Project Manager with a minimum 3 years of experience. This is a dual position with some time being spent in each capacity.

The Millwork Estimator/Project Manager will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suitable projects for bid submission, identifying all related project materials, labour needs, timelines, financial exposure and available production resources. The Estimator/Project Manager will submit final estimates that meet all of our client’s needs as per the project scope of work and specifications. This is accomplished by the thorough evaluation of all project documentation and related drawings. The Estimator/Project Manager will also confer with our CAD Designers to insure that nothing has been overlooked from a manufacturing perspective prior to the final bid submission.

**General Duties**
- Carefully inspect tender documentation. Analyze the exact requirements and identify areas that have implications to ISD Inc. and/or the customer.
- Analyze drawing packages and all other project related documentation to prepare labour, material, installation and delivery estimates.
- Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments that may affect bid submittals.
- Determine the best possible suppliers and trades for any awarded projects along with up-to-date pricing and material availability.
- Monitor the awarded project and ensure that we have optimum utilization of all available labour and material costs with regards to the awarded projects estimated costs.
- Provide a detailed “take-off” of all required millwork and cabinetry for the project.
- Ensure that all bids that are submitted are complete, 100% accurate and on time.
- Follow up on bid submissions in a professional and courteous manner ensuring that our customers are aware that we are serious about winning the bid.
- Occasional travel to the job sites or meetings with clients ( Valid G Driver License Required ).
- Will report directly to Upper Management
- Will work with the CAD Designers to insure that they are up to date on all pertinent information and documentation relating to the awarded projects.

**Education**:

- Must possess a Post-Secondary Diploma and have a minimum of 3 years of related experience.

- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office products including, Word, Excel and AutoCAD and Microvellum Skills would be considered an asset.
- Must be very organized with a positive, pro-active, can do attitude.
- Must be results orientated with a proven successful sales track record.

**Essential Skills**:

- Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
- Occasional lifting of objects up to 30 lbs.
- Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
- Accurately identify, measure and record required onsite dimensions for designers
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle and have a valid G license.
- Exposure to dust, fumes and airborne particles such as wood dust when out in shop. Safety Equipment Supplied.
