**Job Summary**

Responsible for operating 20 - 200 ton presses, while maintaining quality and ensuring that productivity standards are met.

**Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities**
- Operates progressive die operation and other related job functions including coil replacements.
- Assists in set ups as required including first off/ last off, perform necessary quality checks. Follow verbal instructions and job specifications as outlined in the associated work order.
- Accurately document production reports, quality alerts and other related information in a timely manner.
- Initiates continuous actions to improve all aspects of press operations.
- Maintains condition of work area including scrap removal in press area, and ensuring that products are secured in their correct space.
- Adheres to all workplace safety policies, compliances and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned by the organization.

**Nature and Scope**
- Refers complex, unusual problems to supervisor.
- Under general supervision, exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work typically involves regular review of output by a senior coworker or supervisor.
- None.

**Work Environment**
- Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.
- Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking and/or there is some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds)..

**Education and Experience**
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Specialized skills training/certification may be required. Generally 2-5 years of experience in area of responsibility.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in a production environment.
- Machine operator experience preferred.
