**THE ROLE**

The Sales Associate responds to enquiries from customers providing them with information on merchandising and ensuring the store shelves are stocked, faced, and properly signed. You may take and prepare food and beverage orders and prepare takeout food, while ensuring cleanliness of food service and eating areas.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience

Food Handling Certification, as required

Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (Province), as required

**Experience**

In cash handling

In food and beverage preparation, as required

In food and beverage service, as required

**Competencies**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership
**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
Bilingual (English and French) Essential

Reading: Basic

Writing: None

Oral: Functional

This is an on-site position with an assigned work location.

Weekday only position (Monday-Friday)part time hours between 07:00 am - 4:00 pm. Planned shifts are 5+ hours for 4-5 days a week (20-25 hours a week on average). The site has limited paid parking available, and an OC Transpo stop.

This is a rewarding job serving members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Defense Community at the West Ottawa Carling Campus National Defense Headquarters. A security screening will be required
