Brandon, Canada Westman Lumber Supply Full time

Westman Lumber Supply is looking for an Accounting Technician for its team. The individual will be responsible to the Accounting Manager and Lumber Store Manager and complete the day-to-day financial transactions for the store, as well as assist management with month-end and year-end processes.

Primary duties include:

- Entering all bills received, and at the direction of the CFO process bills for payment
- Accept payments on account
- Work directly with management on the collection of receivables
- Completion of bank and credit-card reconciliations
- Processing of government remittances
- Reconciling supplier accounts

Assets:

- Bookkeeping / accounting certificate / diploma
- Experience working with Quickbooks Desktop
- Experience working with Spruce (POS system)
- Full cycle bookkeeping experience
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience communicating with customers
- Strong attention to detail
