**full-time Recreation Manager** to join our Riverstone team in London The Recreation Manager is responsible for the delivery of recreation programs at the retirement residence. Working together with a vibrant recreation team, the Recreation Manager creatively plans, implements and evaluates a diverse calendar of events for a vibrant and independent community

About the Role:

- The Recreation Manager’s role is to plan, direct and coordinate the necessary activities for the Recreation Program within the Residence and manages in accordance with all industry and regulatory compliance agencies.
- The Recreation Manage is actively involved in the Customer Experience and Promotion of the Residence and works collaboratively with all departmental and Corporate teams in order to foster employee engagement and resident satisfaction.
- In Addition, the Recreation Manager assists in the Residence with implementation of departmental plans, policies and procedures and the financial budget and communicates Recreation Programs to all staff, residents, their families and the community as they apply.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Diploma in recreation/leisure studies from a recognized Community College or University.
- Course(s) in Gerontology and Recreation/Recreation.
- Previous experience developing and implementing innovative recreational activities, in residential/senior care with 1-3 years supervisors experience preferred. Experience in Recreation Program development.
- Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and/or weekends as required.
- Knowledge of community resources.
- Knowledge of relevant government legislation and standards.
- Class ‘F’ Driver’s license preferred or willing to obtain, and excellent driving record may be required, if van/bus included as resources of recreation program. Must be insurable as to carrier requirements.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak formally in individual or group settings for presentations, teaching or promotion.
- Self-directed and team-oriented, with strong organization and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstration of leadership and coaching skills. Experience in recruitment, policy implementation, and health and safety standards.
- Must successfully complete a Police Records Check and disclose any convictions, charges, restraining orders, probation orders and/or warrants during the course of employment that affect in any way the clear Police Records Check.
- Must provide documentation to support a Tuberculosis Skin Test (TST) or Medical Note from Physician stating free from infectious disease.
