Join our dynamic team as a Carpenter at The Conscious Builder We are a private, non-union construction company based in Ottawa, specializing in sustainable residential projects. With at least_ _**_5 years of experience_** in carpentry, you will play a key role in leading and executing carpentry tasks to ensure the successful completion of our projects.

**Responsibilities/Duties**:

- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, providing guidance and support throughout construction projects.
- Utilize your expertise in demolition, framing, window and door installation, siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry to complete high-quality work.
- Read and interpret construction plans accurately, ensuring precise execution of design specifications.
- Contribute to material take-offs and ordering, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and coordinate project timelines, ensuring smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, promoting productivity and efficiency.
- Continuously expand your knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and mentorship.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in carpentry.
- Expertise in various carpentry tasks, including demolition, framing, window and door installation, siding, insulation, drywall, flooring, and cabinetry.
- Strong leadership abilities, with the ability to guide and supervise a team effectively.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure precise execution of construction plans.
- Comprehensive understanding of construction tools and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients.
- Commitment to following health and safety guidelines, prioritizing the well-being of all individuals on-site.
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle with a clean driving abstract.
