What _**_you’ll_**_ be doing:_**
- Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines.
- Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maximize payroll efficiency through innovative process development.
- Help develop and support short
- and long-term operational strategies.

**_ Responsibilities_**_:_**
- Provide leadership and supervision to the accounting team in the preparation of monthly journal entries, accruals, GL closing, balance sheet, reconciliations, and other monthly/ quarterly/ yearly activities.
- Ensure the reliability and effectiveness of internal controls over financial processes.
- Establish (in coordination with VP of Finance) financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Oversee the monthly/annual tax filing requirements and monthly remittances to the government in multiple jurisdictions.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Oversee and support accounting team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity.

**_ Requirements_**_:_**
- Professional designation, such as CPA (certified public accountant)
- Five or more years of progressive professional accounting experience
- Exemplary history of financial project management

**_ Preferred skills and qualifications_**
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
- Five or more years of experience as a senior-level accounting or finance manager
- Experience at an accounting firm
- Experience in managing payroll
- Experience with streamlining accounting processes
