You’ll be working on Threads of Time, a 2.5D JRPG inspired by Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy where you get to travel from the pre-historic era to the end of time

ResponsibilitiesGame Testing and Bug Reporting
- Playtest game builds to identify bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies in gameplay
- Perform detailed testing of combat mechanics, story systems, UI elements, and environmental interactions
- Log bugs into tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) with clear steps for reproduction and expected outcomes

Collaboration and Feedback
- Work closely with developers, designers, and artists to verify fixes and provide feedback on game features
- Contribute insights to improve the overall player experience, including balance and accessibility

Quality Standards and Process Improvement
- Maintain a high standard for testing and ensure the game meets the studio’s vision.
- Help refine QA processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements
- A deep love for JRPGs and an understanding of what makes them special
- Strong attention to detail and an investigative mindset for identifying issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to describe bugs clearly
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Familiarity with QA tools (e.g., JIRA) and basic testing methodologies is a plus but not required

Pluses
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other game engines
- Knowledge of JRPG mechanics, lore, and tropes
- Previous testing experience, either professionally or through personal projects
- A resident of Ontario or Quebec, Canada, or willing to relocate

This is a full-time position with options for either a contract or permanent arrangement, which will be discussed during the interview process.
